It had almost been a month since the man the streets now called Joe Black had been released from jail. He had the money flowing through the Victoria Garden Projects and the Rose Wood duplex homes like never before. The streets had been dry since he was gone and shut down shop. The police couldn’t do nothing but watch with resentment as the Black Crown Disciples grew with the money.

Joe Black was hardly seen outside the buildings except for on Sundays when him, Michelle, and Disaster attended the First Solomon Baptiste Church.

The first Solomon mega churches had been popping up across the map one by one. The main church was in Chicago and the pastor always had a packed house. When the church goers seen Joe Black and Michelle they treated them like celebrities. After greeting as many people as they could in the huge black congregation. Joseph and Michelle slipped off downstairs. The church was huge and if you took a couple wrong turns you would be lost. After going into a locked room out of everyone’s site. The room looked like a library with all type of books covering the many shelves. They went to the far wall and Michelle pulled on the book on the shelf called the art of war. Soon as she did it the book shelf next to them moved to the side. A stairway was unveiled that lead down towards a steel door.

When they got to the bottom of the stairs the book case closed behind them and the door opened in front of them. The room looked like a military briefing room and the initials N.U.R. D. on the wall. When they walked in they seen two very dark complected men sitting on the left side of the conference table. The thin one was sitting at the table in a military uniform with an African flag and general stripes on his shoulder. The other one looked like he could’ve been a sumo wrestler as he stood behind the general dressed in all black army fatigues.

“About time y’all got down here. The bald headed light skin man named Mack said walking from the back room.

“We could barely get in the door Uncle Mack,” Joseph said.

“Well come on have a seat and let’s get this meeting started. Joseph, Michelle I would like you all to meet General Cayman. He has been a supporter of the Disciple movement since me, your father, and mother started. You’ve been wondering what our next steps well he’s here to tell you,” Mack said as Michelle, Joseph, and the General Cayman shook hands. Mack was proud of Joseph and Michelle like they were his own kids. He hated when the police took him to jail on bogus drug charges especially when he knew he was all they had to depend on. He felt like he had let their mother and father down. Even though he was innocent on the drug charges he had no choice but to take a three-year plea in order to get back on the streets.
